Abstract: Workflow Optimization in Virtual Studio [DE]

Maik Heimann Trosien, Workflow Optimization in Virtual Studio, Hochschule Düsseldorf, Bachelor Thesis, 24.06.2020.

The virtual studio of the Düsseldorf University of Applied Sciences offers a production environment with modern broadcasting technology. Many projects can be realized in this studio. One of these projects is HSDtv. A show that focuses on university news. In particular, the planning and implementation of this program creates a high level of personnel expenditure. Therefore, the areas of content management and process control are dealt with. It is to be compared how the way the industry works. Technical basics will be clarified and concepts will be developed that are intended to optimize the process. A particular focus is the use of content management systems or broadcast automation. For this purpose, different models are compared and a possible concept for optimization is designed with the help of research. This raises whether the production of a show can be carried out by a small group of just three people.
