3DGS - Gaussian Splats for Virtual Productions, VR and AR
Short Description
Gaussian Splats are used for Virtual Productions, VR and AR.
As input can be used camera images/video, 360 images/videos or recordings with a scanner (Lidar and cameras).
Such recordings can also be done using a drone. Alternatively Gaussian Splats can also be generated using AI
from prompts or single images or a sparse set of images.
The scanner PortalCam with Lidar and 4 cameras from XGRIDS Limited
is available at the Virtual Studio of the Hochschule Düsseldorf, University of Applied Sciences.
