Abstract: Dancing with Virtual Characters in Virtual Environments
Jose Burga, Dancing with Virtual Characters in Virtual Environments, Hochschule Düsseldorf, Bachelor thesis, 25.10.2016.
Virtual Reality has been around for years, but it is since recently that the consumer market has become really involved in it, and new fields for its implementation are being explored. A lot has been done regarding gaming, a common field for Virtual Reality applications, but in comparison, little regarding sports, and in particular in the field of partner dancing.
The implementation of a Virtual Reality desktop application that explores this field is presented in this thesis. Theoretical frameworks and practical methods to handle challenges and integrating current technologies are discussed. Finally the developed application is evaluated with a user test.
