The web brings Multimedia, Hypertext [Nel74, p. 18,], and distribution together. Lecture notes can contain video, audio, and any other computer-processable data. Especially for pronunciation classes in language education, a text is not as good as video and audio [CH95].
In addition to hypermedia, web pages can be used as user interfaces. Fig. 5 [Goe96] shows group progress monitoring based on aegis and cgi-bin scripts.
